Russian sweats

Vika Gazinskaya is absolutely one of the most photographed streetstyle celebrities. She's always in a cute Russian or vintage-inspired outfit smiling shyly as the swarm of photographers surround her. I was not surprised to read that she's a designer and apparently most of her outfits turned out to be her own designs. Sleeveless jeans jacket

I didn't only rock the jeans jacket through high school, it has always been one of my favourite pieces. With about five (!) jackets in my closet you should think I don't need one anymore and you're right. So that's why I bought a sleeveless one last week..and guess what, a sleeveless model is even more wearable as it fits better underneath my leather jacket or black jacket. Of course wearing it with just a simple white Tee is an option too; effortless and clean, just like Canadian newcomer model Kate King in this photo by Stockholmstreetstyle.

Vintage Vogue

This photo comes from my Paris Vogue Octobre 2009 and the cool T-Shirt tells us immediately who she is. It's the amazing Yasmin Le Bon, she was a supermodel back in the eighties, is married to Simon Le Bon (Duran Duran) and she's still going strong. Le Bon is 47 years of age but nevertheless she walked the Stéphane Rolland haute couture fashion show in Paris in January 2012. She still remains one of the most beautiful models in the world.

Sydney Fashion Week

Last week it was Australia Fashion Week and their was lot of off-catwalk action in Sydney going on. Luckily we have Tommy Ton to show us his best shots from the street and as you can see it's all happening down under as well! 

Graanmarkt 13 Antwerpen

Today I had a lovely day with my husband, in Antwerpen. Did some shopping, had a delicious Italian lunch at Renaissance and gained a lot of new fashion inspiration. Went to the very special store Graanmarkt 13 which is not only a store but more a residence with a restaurant, shop and gallery. In the shop you'll find an unconventional blend of fashion and design products selected by the lady of the house Ilse Cornelissens. With brands like Isabel Marant, Marni, Golden Goose and jeans from R13 their shop is a great mix of very nice labels indeed. On the shelf these Rio heels from Isabel Marant, didn't buy them (you know I'm more of a sneaker and biker boots girl...), but I must admit they were gorgeous in real life. Stripe & flower

About two weeks ago I wrote a blog about the stripe T-Shirt for Dutch fashion website 'In de Mode' and one of the reasons was that I believe that a stripe Tee should be on the items-you-should-have-in-your-closet list. Now, we all know how to wear a stripe Tee but let me show you an even more fashionable challenge. The sleeveless jacket with flower print upgrades the simplicity of the stripe. Western vibe

We all know how fast Marant's shoes sell out and for some reason her designs always turn out to be musthave investment pieces. 

The Isabel Marant Fall 2012 collection is again a very strong collection. She clearly likes to spice up our daily outfits with her studded and embroidered boots. And I must say, Marant knows how to make the 'Western vibe' fashionable again. Yeehaa! 

Style.com/Print #2

It's an unusual move for a fashion website, but this is not a bad idea at all... Style.com, the to-go website for runway photos, high fashion party pics and mega-slideshows of Tommy Ton has launched a print version called Style.com/Print. Their first issue came out last october and took us deep inside the Spring 2012 collection. Now the second magazine is out and this one seems even more interesting. The magazine features important fashion news from the Style.com team, lists of the top ten best of collections, accessoiries, and models etc Plus exclusive features on designers of the moment. Nice!
