A quote I read in the Vogue UK today: "tracksuit trousers are a winning look-as long as you stick to the rules".
I totally agree. Tracksuit trousers are a just another name for sweatpants and can be the ultimate in a relaxed cool look. But.....high-heels are a must! Blogger Garance Doré buys her tracksuit trousers from Isabel Marant because "she has designed them for years and mastered the perfect cut" but she also says "without heels, I look like I'm en route to my hip-hop class"! Cut and shape is vital. Don't think for a moment you can simply dig out a pair of old grey tracksuit bottoms. Here a few rules: wear them low-waisted and slouchy. Choose a tapered leg. Look for a drawstring waist and deep pockets. Finally, combine tracksuit trousers with a long-line blazer, a sleeveless jacket or a cropped tuxedo. And you never want to wear anything else ever again!

Victoria is relaunching her dVb denim line in Spring 2010 under the name Victoria Beckham Denim. She hopes to get a better response this time around with some new styles like the super-slim cigarette pants, a slouchy boyfriend jeans, roughed up denim jackets and vests. I must say these styles look great! Photos from Denimology.

A nasty flu has hit me, so please symphatize with me and understand that I'm not blogging every day. People are emailing me already asking what's wrong, I'm honoured. So this photo is especially for Chrisje.
A very ladylike outfit, but still fashionable in a way. Photo from Stockholm Streetstyle.

Victoria's Secret Fashion Show SS 2010 collection will actually happen tonight in New York. Yesterday the girls had a photo shoot at Times Square and as usual the press was very curious which models are going to walk the show this season. Anyway, our Doutzen is of the lot again (second left). Heidi Klum is presenting the show this time!

We all know that Mrs Beckham's trademark is Hermès, but she has been spotted at the airport yesterday with this big over the shoulder bag. It is the Louis Vuitton Fox Tail Messenger bag from their spring collection 2010. An almost casual look for chique Victoria. So is this going to be the new bag trend for next spring?
Well this is a kind of woman I like! Tabitha Simmons (England) first studied film and then began her styling career. Everything started for her with some impulse and a dream. Shoes are her passion and she managed to release her own collection. She's now on her third collection. By the way, Tabitha's daily job is being fashion director at Vogue US....What an inspirational woman!

He's a legendary footwear designer who has created shoes for some of the world's most glamorous women. Jimmy Choo grew up in Malaysia where his father was a footwear designer. Once he decided to follow in his father's footsteps, Choo came to London to study at Cordwainers College - and the rest, as they say, is history. It was in 1996 that Tamara Mellon approached Mr Choo and they started the ready-to-wear shoe company, with their first stand alone shop in London. They opened in New York in 1998, followed by Los Angeles in 1999. Today the Jimmy Choo store network encompasses over 100 locations in 32 countries. Tamara Mellon is now President of the company which emits a complete luxury lifestyle accessory brand with women's shoes, handbags, small leather goods, sunglasses and eyewear.

Yes! I got my hands on a Jimmy Choo for H&M leather handbag this morning. I did not had to stand in line with thousands of other people in front of H&M, but stayed in with three (!) standby laptops. It took me three hours of hard work, but it was worth it. In about two weeks time I will be walking around with my new bag. Anyone else out there who was as lucky as me today?

R13 is a new and rather secretive jeans brand and for their Spring 2010 look they came up with edgy skinny jeans, as well as denim and leather jackets. The collection is sold at Barneys in the US and Harvey Nichols and Selfridges in London. From Spring 2010 it will also available at Colette in Paris (lucky me.....). Just ignore the models boring face. I think this is a great 'badass chicks' style, I like! Photos from Denimology.

Art of the trench, a new site by Burberry, is a special collaboration between Burberry and fashion and streetstyle photographers, where they share the evolution of the iconic Burberry trench coat. For the launch of the site they started of with images by none other than Scott Schuman. Scott has been capturing street portraits of people in Burberry trench coats in London, Milan, New York, Paris, Berlin, Sao Paulo and Venice over the last few months. Burberry also invites 'ordinary' people to participate by submitting portraits of themselves or their friends wearing the Burberry trench coat. Selected photos will be put on this site as well. An amazing project and a big honour for The Sartorialist!

Harper's Bazaar announced today that designer Stella McCartney was voted Britains best-dressed for 2009. Stella, mother-of-three, is famous for her sharp tailoring and flattering designs, but most of all she acts as the perfect advertisement for her brand!
