To be honest I am not a real fan of Marlies Dekkers her lingerie designs. But I came across this article about 'our' famous underwear designer on New York based site ViewonFashion and I must say, Marlies is doing a great job with her unique, luxury vision of lingerie. This winter she brings a tribute to the wardrobes of the Hollywood jet set, fur from the fifties, divas from the eighties and nights in St Petersburg. This one's for you, Hanneke!

Yasmin Le Bon in Amsterdam

Yasmin Le Bon is still going strong after 25 years of modelling. This month we can all enjoy her in a 12 pages fashion shoot in L'Officiel NL. Photos were taken by Philip Riches. I must say, she looks beautiful!

I made these photos myself because the publisher of L'Officiel NL is very strict in keeping their editorials of the internet. Topshop has released new pictures for Kate Moss' Fall 2009 collection and they are really wonderful again. Kate looks amazing, she's still got it!

Read a few lines from an interview with Carine Roitfeld, editor of French Vogue. She is called fashion's sharpest operator because of her winning formula of style, sex and controversy.

She has long been a favourite of the bloggers who chronicle fashion, and two years ago The Sartorialist, the grandest of the blogs, published two photos of her under the heading:"Two reasons why Carine Roitfeld is the sexiest editor in fashion". One of the reasons was that she smiles in photos. True, Wintour sometimes smiles in photos too, but hers is a crocodile's smile, a flinty little thing that reveals a judicious number of small shiny teeth but never quite reaches the eyes. Roitfeld smiles as if she is having fun.

"Fashion," says Roitfeld, "is not about clothes, it is about a look!"

Out today, the L'Officiel NL with beautiful fashion photos, interviews and a special fashion shoot with model Yasmin Le Bon. One of the editorials called 'Timeless' shows best garments to buy this winter like the perfect trench, jeans or leather jacket. New to me was the French label Sandro Paris, which looked different and fashionable. Online available at Place des Tendances.

The September Issue - Premiere New York

Last night in New York it was the premiere of the movie The September Issue. It is a behind the scenes documentary of the making of the American Vogue starring Anna Wintour. The movie will open in about 3 weeks in Europe. Photo of Anna in a floaty Prada dress together with fashiondesigner Donna Karen. And didn't Marc Jacobs looked amazing in his favorite black skirt?
