Dotdotdot

About two weeks ago I came across the jewelry brand Jewel Rocks and only then found out that I was wearing one of their bracelets for more than one year already. How funny. Time to get me another one.

The originally Indonesian Jewel Rocks was introduced in the Netherlands by the two Dutch girls Anna + Nina  (owning an Amsterdam based fashion accessoires agency) last year and just last month they launched their brand new site and a webshop. And finally, next time when you are in Amsterdam go visit their brand new boutique ANNA NINA

Blue inspiration

Let's start the week with some blue inspiration! I've got a slight preference for baggy jeans lately and how gorgeous is that denim pencil skirt?

Fine style

The only thing I like to say about this outfit is that this is a very fine style. Simple but smart, basic but stylish. I like!

Man Repeller - the book

Great news today! The Man Repeller's Leandra Medine is going to launch a book and it's now available for pre-order. As she was featured in Forbes Top 30 Under 30 as one of the years 'most influential trendsetters' last year, I can't wait to read Man Repeller - Seeking Love - Finding Overalls. It's going to be a collection of awkwardly funny experiences, a sweet love story and of course lots of fashion. Release date on September 10, 2013.

Zebra stripes

Are you tired of all the leopard and tiger prints? Then try out the new zebra stripes now already and you will be ready for this Fall's fresh-looking new animal print. It's pretty clear that these black and white streaks are going to be the eye-catcher of your winter wardrobe.

Down under

Bright hues at  Sydney Fashion Week last week! Apparently the usual legion of bloggers and fashion journalists chase fashion weeks from continent to continent, but I noticed there's a slight difference in the way Australians dress. As you would expect, their streetstyle is more rough and ballsy. Definitely my cup of tea...

Stylish sneaker

Since the last decade sneakers undergone a total re-brand and currently Isabel Marant is the queen of sneakers with one extremely long waiting list for her wedged trainer. Then there was the pimped trainer trend and of course the various collaborations between VIP's and sports labels. At this moment the running shoe has firmly entered the world of high fashion again, but this time you can wear it with your most stylish outfit. I like!

Striking fur

This is quite a coincidence... The first picture appeared on the Sartorialist last friday and it reminded me immediately of my own streetstyle pic which I took three years ago, also in Paris. This must be the same girl (okay, with shorter her) since I do remember that she was Asian too, laughing and giggling on the corner of Avenue Montaigne. And of course, who forgets a striking fur coat like that? Unfortunately we can't see her bag, but it seems the same Hermes bag as back in 2010.

Ru - Amsterdam x São Paulo

I am a real fan of the series 'How To Make It in America', a tv series about two guys in New York struggling to make it as fashion designers, trying to start a jeans line called Crisp.
Anyway, those kind of guys do exist in real life. The well known Mr Steve Te Pas who just launched his brand new jeans label Good Genes is a good example of how to make it in the fashion industry in the end. Apparently there are more guys out there who are chasing their dreams and are actually on track. And those guys need all the help they can get.
So watch this trailer, like Ru's Fanpage and support Ruann da Silva's dream.

Big sweater

Now that it is still cold outside and there's no sign of spring yet I can easy relate to this wintery outfit. Personally I'm not a fan of a big knitted sweater, because it's not the most slimming garment. My dear friend D on the other hand had bought herself this beautiful big Hope sweater blogger Elin Kling is wearing throughout the winter as well and I must say it looks amazing on her. And with her I mean my friend D. I'm a bit surprised about the layering in this picture (jacket óver a chunky sweater?) but hey, this is fashion baby!

Hello spring...

So the calendar says spring has officially started, but strangely the weather doesn't give a damn (excuse the language..). I really need to rearrange my wardrobe and plan some spring outfits, but funny enough I still  need my wintercoat to survive the cold. But spring is around the corner...they say.
